THE B.T.S. TEEN MEDIA PROGRAMS
B.T.S. Teen Media Program
The B.T.S. Teen Media Program includes Video Studio, Music Design Studio, Photography Studio, Digital Art Studio, Radio Broadcasting, and B.T.S. Girls and Boys Groups. Our children will benefit from these programs. The student must be at least 12 years old and show maturity in order to join the B.T.S. Teen Media Program.

The B.T.S. Teen Media Program (B.T.S.-TMP) represents inspired technology users by participating in the B.T.S. media arts and leadership activities. B.T.S.-TMP offers a yearly curriculum that uses an inventive expression to develop new technology and creative talent. The B.T.S. Media Foundations classes introduce youth to the digital arts and media literacy. The teens work on their artistic voice in Video, Photo, Digital Art, Music Production or Dance Studios; and finally, build concrete professional skills in advanced Leadership Groups including The B.T.S. Youth Council and the “Make an Impact.”

Video Studio

In the Video Studio class, B.T.S. Teens will create films that express their thoughts, dreams, and perspectives as a youth and share them with the Hernando Community and beyond through B.T.S. film festivals and local events.

Music Design Studio

In Music Design, teens compose their own unique songs and write lyrics to produce songs with positive vibes and a message.
Photography Studio
Instructor: Open
The Photography Studio explores DSLR and film that is developed in a dark room. All photography is displayed in galleries and art exhibits throughout B.T.S. Center.

Digital Art Studio

Digital Art Studio focuses on graphic design and illustration. Youth use their artistic skills to create both small and large-scale art that has a social message and modern urban style.

Dance Studio

For youth interested in the performing arts, the Dance Studio is an opportunity to learn traditional and contemporary dance choreography taught by a local professional dance troupe.
B.T.S. Boys & Girls Clubs

Young people face many challenges that can impact their personal and civic development. B.T.S. Boys&Girls Clubs are safe spaces where our community of youth can discuss these challenges with their peers and navigate opportunities with a mentor.
Make An Impact B.T.S. Film festival

Make an Impact! (MAI) Youth Film Festival is a product of the B.T.S. Community Art Center’s Teen Media Program.

B.T.S. Teens Vocal

In the Teens Vocal class, B.T.S. Teens will learn the right artistic skills of how to properly sing so that the students can express their thoughts, dreams, and perspectives as a youth and share them with the Hernando Community and the world through B.T.S. concerts and local events.
B.T.S. Teen Radio Broadcasting

In the Radio Broadcasting class, B.T.S. Teens will create shows that express their thoughts, dreams, and perspectives as a youth and share them with the Hernando Community and the world through B.T.S. Radio Station.
B.T.S. Local News
Instructor: Open
In the BTS Local News Studio class, B.T.S. Teens will learn how to research what is going on in the community and broadcast it on the BTS Local News. They will learn the basic skills of being a journalist such as how to research the news, prepare it, and bring it to live on the screen for everybody to watch.
